Shame on meβ¦ Iβve religiously read all of your posts like a TV junkie binge watching the last season of Emily in Paris (is that still a thing though? Never mind) but I failed to comment and tell you how much this new endeavour looks amazing. My dogs were a lot more than bowls of fluff and 24/7 drooling machine addicted to Swiss cheese π§. I, too, am working on something odd and weird and uneasy and β¦. The list goes on (so much so I canβt put words on it even if itβs simple AF). Keep it up, youβll rock it no matter where you go
In my experience the paralysis is driven by a focus on a specific destination versus making one move and, as you said, do something. I donβt know if itβs an American thing where we are force fed success stories that make us feel inadequate by comparison. Most Europeans who are doing interesting things and seem to be enjoying it all simply did something first - and followed the flow to where it took them. For me itβs a reminder that I donβt need to have a huge reach out of the gate but rather build up locally and take it from there. Let it flow. Do something to move the ball down the field every day. Be flexible and see where it takes you! Itβs an adventure!
I'm convinced that anybody who's ever tried anything new, bold, or creative has had to push through exactly this kind of resistance and fear β at least, if they're over the age of four, which is generally when that BS has accumulated. And I honestly think not letting that fear and doubt stop you is at least as much the point of doing whatever the Thing is as the end result of the Thing itself. We're so much more than we think. In fact, it's usually the thinking that screws us up. So I salute you as you stop trying to know what you're doing and just do it. Cheers.

Jessica, your comment kind of reminds me of, "Is this going to be on the test?"
I love your perspective. Thank you so much for sharing it with me. This is a comment I will come back to again and again. π
"December 24th, 1989, 9 PM, Eastern Standard Time. From here on in, I shoot without a script"
I have no idea what this means and I love it.
It is a quote from RENT. Mark Cohen says it in the very beginning.
But the point was "shoot without a script."

As usual, I stand in solidarity with you. Just think...you're a whole newsletter ahead of me. You DID IT while I still sit here not doing it π€£
No, Kristi, you've done at least half a dozen OTHER things that are successful. Respect. π
